Test Code LAB1753 Cell Count With Reflex to Differential, CSF
Methodology
Hemocytometer/Digital Imaging with DxU 840m Iris and Light Microscopy.
Includes RBC and WBC. Differential will be performed if WBC is 5 or > /uL
Performing Laboratory
CentraCare Laboratory Services
Specimen Requirements
Specimen must arrive within 1 hour of collection.
Specimen Type: Spinal fluid
Container/Tube: Screw-capped, sterile tubes
Specimen Volume: 3 mL divided into 3 tubes each containing 1 mL
