Screens for the following drugs: amphetamines, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, cocaine, opiates, THC (Cannabinoids), buprenorphine, methadone, metamphetamines, oxycodone, phencyclidine, and tricyclic antidepressants.

 

This test is performed to aid in medical decision making. It is not approved for legal or forensic uses.

Specimen Type: Urine, random

Container/Tube: Plastic urine container

Specimen Volume: 10 mL

Minimum Volume: 0.5 mL

Negative (reported as positive or negative)
If requested, positives will be sent to Mayo Medical Laboratories for quantification at an additional charge.

 

Screening thresholds for drugs are as follows:

Tricyclic Antidepressants: 300 ng/mL

Barbiturates: 200 ng/mL

Methadone: 200 ng/mL

Benzodiazepines: 150 ng/mL

THC Cannabinoids: 50 ng/mL

Opiates: 100 ng/mL

Amphetamine: 500 ng/mL

Cocaine: 150 ng/mL

Methamphetamine: 500 ng/mL

Phencyclidine: 25 ng/mL

Oxycodone: 100 ng/mL

Buprenorphine: 10 ng/mL
