Specimen Requirements

Collection Instructions:

1. Patient’s blood pressure and pulse are required before and after procedure.

2. Removal of 500 mL of blood unless otherwise noted by physician orders.

Additional Information: On nursing units, a registered nurse must be available during the phlebotomy.
