Specimen Requirements

Specimen Type: Plasma

Container/Tube: Light-blue top (3.2% sodium citrate)

Specimen Volume: 5 mL

Collection Instructions:

1. Draw a full tube. This tube must be second tube drawn.

2. Centrifuge for 10 minutes at 3,000 rpm.

3. If there is a delay in testing of >4 hours, freeze plasma immediately at -20° C and send frozen in plastic vial.

25.1-36.5 seconds
Critical value (automatic call-back): >65 seconds
