Preferred:  Serum gel or red top

Acceptable:  Green top (Lithium Heparin)

Specimen Volume: 1.0 mL

 

Specimen Transport Temperature

Refrigerated ( serum removed within 8 hours and testing will be performed in less than 48 hours).

Frozen if testing will not be completed within 48 hours

Reference Values

Negative:   (<7 U/ml)

Equivocal : (7-10 U/ml)

Positive:     (>10 U/ml))
