Collection Instructions: Label specimen appropriately (plasma).

Specimen Type: Serum

Container/Tube: Gold top (SST) & Red top (Serum & No Additive)

Specimen Volume: 0.5 mL

Specimen Minimum Volume: 0.25 mL

Collection Instructions: Label specimen appropriately (serum).

If collecting using a red top with no gel separator, the serum must be removed within 1 hour of collection.

Refrigerated: 1 week

1-5 days: 2.8-4.4 g/dL

5 days-14 years: 3.8-5.4 g/dL

14-60 years: 3.5-5.0 g/dL

>60 years: 3.4-4.8 g/dL
