Submit only 1 of the following specimens:

 

Specimen Type: Plasma

Container/Tube: Green top (sodium heparin or lithium heparin)-Lavender-top (EDTA) tube is also acceptable.

Specimen Volume: 1 mL

Specimen Minimum Volume: 0.1 mL plus 0.06 mL dead space

Collection Instructions: Label specimen appropriately (plasma).

 

Specimen Type: Serum

Container/Tube: Serum gel or plain red top

Specimen Volume: 1 mL

Specimen Minimum Volume: 0.1 mL plus 0.06 mL dead space

Collection Instructions: Label specimen appropriately (serum).
