Preferred:Green top (lithium heparin plasma)

Acceptable: Serum (Red top, Gold/SST), Na Heparin plasma (label specimen appropriately)

Specimen Volume: 1 mL

Minimum Volume: 0.25 ml

Additional Information: Peak concentrations should be monitored to ensure that they do not exceed the upper limit of therapeutic range.
