Specimen Type: Plasma

Container/Tube:  Lithium Heparin tube (label specimen appropriately)

Specimen Volume: 1 mL

Minimum Specimen Volume: 0.25 ml

Specimen Transport Temperature

Room temperature up to 8 hours - refrigerated and frozen samples are not acceptable

Reference Values

Females:  ≤16 ng/L

Males:  ≤34 ng/L

Unspecified: ≤27 ng/L

The hsTnI results should be interpreted considering the total clinical presentation of the patient, incorporating symptoms, clinical history, data from additional tests , and other appropriate information.
